Blackwork is a tool for tattoo studios. This policy describes what we store, and more importantly what we deliberately do not do with your data.
What we store
Your studio record (name, timezone, business hours, deposit policy), your account credentials (password stored only as a salted hash), and the data you enter — clients, appointments, deposits, notes. That data is yours and is used only to run the product for you. To limit repeated authentication requests, we also keep expiring counters using keyed hashes of email and IP addresses. These counters contain no raw addresses and are cleared after expiry during subsequent authentication requests.
Website statistics
We record page paths, visit times and selected demo actions using a random visitor cookie named vid, which lasts up to one year. We also record sign-in events. The page-view script skips the studio workspace. These statistics are stored in our own database.
Service providers and data use
Our hosting, email delivery and subscription payment providers process the data needed to provide those services. We do not sell your data or use it to train AI models.
Data you export or delete
You can export clients, appointments, deposits and packages as CSV from Settings. Contact support@blackwork.app to request other exports or account deletion. Backup copies remain until their scheduled expiry, and the payment provider retains its own transaction records.
Payments
Payment processing for subscriptions is handled by a third-party payment provider (Merchant of Record). We never see or store your card details.
